GU-FYUGP : Affiliated Colleges
Admission Modalities
The broad admission procedure for GU-FYUGP is given in the GU-FYUGP Regulations. Some of the important points regarding admission into the GU-FYUGP through an affiliated colleges are given below.
Admission to the GU-FYUGP should be based on desired Major of a student.
If a student DOES NOT opt for Major, a college can devise their own rule to admit a student, based on their available infrastructure and resources.
All syllabi including Core and Common Courses will be available by June 2023 through GU's Syllabut Portal at https://syllabus.gauhati.ac.in/fyugp.
A college should encourage the students to obtain their respective ABC ID at the time of admission, as this will be required for Registration at GU (see below).
All admitted students MUST register with Gauhati University (one time) immediately after the admission. The GU Registration Facility will be open immediately after the admission process is completed.
A college can offer admission into GU-FYUGP in all subjects that are available in the Subject Page, provided they have the requisites permission from GU as well as from the Government, if any.
Whether a college can offer Major option in a subject listed in the Subject Page is governed by existing GU rules.
